Financial support for essential items

Personal finances can take an unexpected hit due to illness, redundancy, poor trading, relationship breakdown and other life events – and someone in this position may struggle to make ends meet. If you’re going through a difficult time like this, we want to make sure that you can afford the essentials and help take some of the pressure off.

We can issue grants to help cover the cost of essentials items like food, toiletries and clothes.  We may also be able to help with the cost of replacing household goods that are in poor condition, such as washing machines.

A case officer will discuss your situation with you and take you through the application process. We may also suggest getting in touch with other organisations, like Citizens Advice, for further support.
