– Tickets are now on sale for an evening of Scottish food, music and fundraising for RSABI at Thainstone Exchange on Saturday 30 January 2027 –
RSABI, the charity providing emotional, practical, and financial support to people in Scottish agriculture, is inviting the agricultural community to come together for a special Burns Supper in Aberdeenshire, kicking off a year-long programme of celebrations to mark its 130th anniversary.
Generously supported by ANM Group Ltd, the event at Thainstone Exchange on Saturday 30 January 2027 will bring together people from across Scotland’s agricultural industry for an evening of entertainment, fundraising and celebration.
The evening will be hosted by Alex Fleming, a renowned events host, after-dinner speaker and charity auctioneer. Having grown up on a hill farm in Clydebank, Alex began his career as a livestock auctioneer and land buyer before going on to work with leading names and organisations across the UK and internationally. His experience and background in agriculture make him a fitting host for RSABI’s milestone event.
Throughout the night, guests will enjoy ceilidh music from North-East band Hooley, alongside an auction and prize draw, with proceeds supporting RSABI’s vital work to improve the lives of people in Scottish agriculture.
The Burns Supper also reflects RSABI’s #KeepTalking campaign, which encourages people across the farming community to stay connected and look out for one another.
The event has received generous support from sponsors across the agricultural sector, with Ringlink (Scotland) Ltd confirmed as Gold Sponsor, Malcolm Allan Housebuilders Ltd as Silver Sponsor, and NFU Mutual Aberdeen City & Shire, East Coast Viners and Andersons of Inverurie as Bronze Sponsors.
Graham Bruce of Ringlink (Scotland) Ltd said: “Ringlink (Scotland) Ltd are delighted to support RSABI as it celebrates its 130th anniversary year. The important work RSABI undertakes in supporting people across Scotland’s agricultural community is more vital than ever, and we are proud to be the Gold Sponsor of this year’s Burns Supper. We look forward to coming together with others from across the industry to support this special event and help celebrate this significant milestone for the charity.”
Pauline Macmillan, RSABI Head of Fundraising, said: “The Burns Supper is the perfect way to kick off our 130th anniversary celebrations, giving us the chance to celebrate the community we’ve supported over the years while looking ahead to how we can continue to be there for those who need us.
“Our hope is that the event will bring people from across the North-East together for a memorable evening, giving farmers the chance to take time away from the farm, reconnect with friends and colleagues, while supporting a cause that matters to the industry.
“We’re incredibly grateful to ANM Group Ltd and all our sponsors for making the evening possible, as well as everyone who has generously donated auction prizes. The funds raised will help us continue providing vital support to people across Scottish agriculture who may be going through a difficult time.”
