Isla is an agricultural mediator dedicated to helping resolve farming related disputes with empathy and practical understanding.
Raised on a livestock farm and now managing her own farm business, established from scratch with her husband and family ten years ago. Isla has a deep rooted passion for agriculture and a first hand appreciation of the industry’s pressures.
Her farm includes red deer, cattle, sheep, and more unusual livestock such as ostriches, with produce sold directly to customers. Alongside running the business, she balances multiple roles on the farm while raising a young family, giving her a strong insight into the realities of both farm and family life.
Before establishing her farm, Isla worked in agricultural consultancy and agronomy after completing a degree in Rural Business Management with Agriculture.
Outside of farming, Isla prioritises resilience and wellbeing through outdoor activities and team sport. She competes in tug of war with her local team and has represented Scotland at world level.
Isla brings a compassionate, grounded approach to mediation, aiming to support farming families, ease conflict, and help preserve both relationships and the wider rural industry.
