Doug is director of his own agri-business consultancy firm, Crofthill Consulting Ltd. He is an experienced farm business management specialist and recognised leader within Scotland’s farming sector. He has previously held senior positions with SAC Consulting, Quality Meat Scotland and the Scottish Tenant Farmers Association.
Having graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a BSc in Agriculture, Doug has extensive experience working with farming families and businesses. He is a past director of SRUC and vice chair of FAST and is a current board member of Livestock Health Scotland. He also manages his family farm in Lanarkshire, running suckler cows and sheep.
