Perthshire farmer and legendary agricultural comedian Jim Smith is bound for Caithness next month to perform at Wick Assembly Rooms on May 31st.
The post-lambing event promises to be a great night out and is the fourth date of Jim’s very well received #KeepTalking Highlands and Islands tour, in partnership with Scottish agricultural support charity RSABI.
Jim will be supported live on stage at Wick by well-known local singer Lisa Douglas, who is from a farming background and very much looking forward to sharing the stage with Jim.
RSABI’s #KeepTalking initiative aims to encourage those living and working in Scottish agricultural communities to reach out and connect with friends, family and neighbours and look after their own mental health.
The gig will be an opportunity to relax and connect with friends and family – comparing notes of the highs and lows of farming over the busy spring work period, while enjoying a combination of comedy and great music as well as supporting RSABI, with 10% of each £20 ticket sale going to the charity.
Jim Smith, who is RSABI’s #KeepTalking ambassador, said: “I’ve never performed in Wick before but have wanted to for a long time so we are really looking forward to heading north next month.
“We’re delighted with how the #KeepTalking tour is going and it is great to be able to share a powerful message to promote good mental health and remind everyone that no matter how busy we are, it is vital to find time to check in on others, especially if we think someone might be feeling low or lonely.

Jim Smith will be performing alongside Lisa Douglas on Saturday, May 31st at Wick Assembly Rooms, Sinclair Terrace, Wick KW1 5AB. Tickets (18 years and over) cost £20, plus booking fee, with 10% donated to RSABI and can be purchased via EventBrite.
