Fundraising

Why fundraise for RSABI?

RSABI relies on voluntary income from people like you in order to operate successfully. Annually we provide in the region of £400,000 of direct support to beneficiaries.  As a consequence of this we need to raise substantial funds each year to continue providing high levels of care.

Our work is more vital than ever

In the current economic climate we have seen more people turning to us for help. Our helpline has experienced an increase in calls since last year. Furthermore, in 2012, the farming industry has had to endure tough times in relation to prolonged wet weather, the effects of which will likely endure into 2013.

RSABI prides itself on a caring, personal approach, working within the rural community to liaise sensitively and compassionately with beneficiaries. That’s why RSABI exists.

Thanks to support from people like you, RSABI has been able to reach out and support thousands of people from all parts of the land-based community, often in remote rural locations. Together, we have helped vulnerable people overcome hardship and we couldn’t have done this without the help of fundraisers like you.

Fundraising is very important to us

It enables us to continue providing high levels of support to all our beneficiaries throughout the country. We aim to continue providing this level of support to existing beneficiaries and hope to increase the overall number of those receiving assistance by raising awareness of the charity throughout the whole of Scotland.

Raising funds to support us

Fundraising for RSABI can be rewarding, fun and is an excellent way to be creative and sociable:

  • If you are thinking of taking part in an event and getting active, why not raise funds for RSABI via sponsorship?
  • Involved in a group or club? Mention RSABI if your organisation is seeking to disburse funds raised at an event, raffle, competition etc
  • Work for a land-based organisation or business? We operate a Supporter Scheme and are grateful for introductions to individual businesses who may wish to join the scheme.
