Scotland rugby star, Alex Dunbar, has pledged his ongoing support for RSABI by signing up as the first Ambassador.
Alex Dunbar, 24, hails from a farming family near Lockerbie and he is keen to show his support for Scotland's rural community in partnership with RSABI.
Throughout 2015, he will visit an RSABI beneficiary, support the charity at a number of events, and donate rugby memorabilia to help raise funds. He will also work to encourage others to join the RSABI Supporter Scheme, which allows people to contribute an annual donation to the charity, enabling ongoing work with beneficiaries. Businesses who join the scheme will also be making a valuable contribution towards their corporate social responsibility in 2015 and beyond.
Nina Clancy, RSABI Chief Executive, said:
"I am delighted to welcome Alex [Dunbar] as RSABI's first official Ambassador.
“He knows and understands farming and is aware that many people who have depended on the land to earn their living are now, through no fault of their own, suffering hardship and are in need of our help.
“I’m really pleased to be involved in the RSABI as it allows me to give something back to the farming community; it’s a great charity which helps a lot of people.
RSABI relies on the generosity of its supporters in order to ensure it can continue to help those in need. For more information on our Supporter Scheme click here.
