How we help

RSABI provides

……... regular long-term financial support

  • by way of half-yearly payments, a TV licence and a seasonal bonus to older people and to those of any age who are not able to work and are on a limited income.

……… one-off grants for special items that applicants are unable to afford themselves

  • disability aids
  • essential home modifications and repairs
  • respite holidays
  • car tax and insurance where a car is essential
  • general living expenses in times of crisis
  • exceptional heating costs

……… advice, practical support and friendship.

  • RSABI is a “one stop shop” for advice and information and has contacts within many other organisations and agencies. A key part of its role is to source help and to find the best solution to whatever problems are being faced.
  • Beneficiaries are visited regularly by a RSABI Welfare Officer.
  • RSABI will make sure that applicants are in receipt of all state benefits to which they are entitled and will, with their consent, assist in accessing any funds available to them from other sources, including other charities

RSABI is not allowed under its rules to help in any way with business expenses and does not assist with the repayment of loans, overdrafts or credit facilities.
